Late Post from October Field Trip

Here are some pictures from our field trip in October to Huber's in Indiana. I'm sorry it's taken a while to upload them; I've had difficulty with technology recently (as I've stated in a previous post.) Enjoy! :)

Our Thanksgiving Performance

It's the "cousins" all visiting at Thanksgiving.
The whole group at the end of our performance (practice).
Showing off our turkey hats on our performance night. (Notice Tanner H. in his pjs? :) He had to pretend to sleep with visions of turkey legs dancing in his head!)
Here are some "relatives" traveling by taxi, by plane, by train, and by car.

Tooty Ta!

Gonna try to add a widget to the blog and see if we can click on it and hear Tooty Ta by Dr. Jean!

UPDATE: Yay! It worked! Click on the crazy birdie on the right that has "Tooty Ta" written underneath him :) Now I will try once AGAIN to add the Thanksgiving song to our blog.

UPDATE AGAIN: Wow, I'm just figgerin' all kinds of stuff out today :) I figured out, instead of adding the little birdie widget doo-hickey thing for one song, I figured out how to add a playlist which isn't nearly as cute as the dancing bird. But I can try to upload all of the familiar songs we sing and put them on the playlist to the right. Woo-Hoo for me! Now it's time to go shopping. Later!

UGH

So sorry...this blog hasn't been updated in FOREVER! You know how it is with technology and all that...ALL those grandparents' day pictures are just gone! Disappeared! Grrrrr! So much for all the cutesy pictures of kiddos with their Grannies and Papaws :( Working on posting some other pics from our pumpkin exploring and a cute one of Wyatt on Halloween! That one was taken with my
phone (which can definitely be contrary when it comes time to transfer pics.)
Meanwhile, I have been attempting to upload our Thanksgiving song so that anyone with internet access could practice it at home. I spent quite a bit of time with no success...apparently after reaching the point where the song was finally 100% uploaded, it aborted the whole thing. Also apparently school purchased CDs are "copyright protected" even when you are simply using them to help in the education process! I even tried to link up with the textbook company where the CD was made to no avail. You will just have to wait for our LIVE performance on Thursday, November 18th!

Exploring our pumpkin seeds...

Zach and Gabby make piles of ten seeds.
Madison worked VERY hard putting her seeds in groups of ten!
MaKenzie helped A.J. (who didn't like touching the "guts" of the pumpkins!) :)
Marcus, Hallie, Lily, and Dylan all worked together to count their seeds.
Tanner H. counts seeds while Dakota pretends to eat them!

First Week of School

We've successfully completed our first week (or partial anyway) of school! Students did such a wonderful job of learning school procedures and practicing. I have posted several pictures of kids practicing some routines such as walking quietly in the hall and of them working in center time focusing on fine motor skills. Enjoy!
Ms. Cundiff

Zachary uses fine motor skills to connect nuts and bolts.
Dylan, Lily, and A.J. work using the design builder shapes while Alan works on lacing cards.
Justin M., Gabby, and Ethan enjoy exploring the pipe building.

Stringing beads to make a "snake."
 Dakota colors her nametag.

Welcome Kindergartners 2010-2011

Welcome back to school! It's one of my goals this year to keep this blog updated so parents can communicate and be able to check in on what's going on in our classroom. This year I decided to do a watermelon theme (I'm all into themes!) My bulletin board says "Welcome to Our Patch"...the background is so busy, but we didn't have much bulletin board paper at school from which to choose, so I lucked out and found this OK fabric I had stored in our supplies. Another teacher even gave me a cute watermelon tissue box to go along with our theme! :)
